How many of you neglect your recovery? I know our busy lives do not always allow us to sit around with our feet up and rest, but there are things we can do to help promote recovery and prepare our bodies for our next training session. Read more

  1. Plan ahead. Pack a recovery drink like Infinit Nutrition, so you can replenish your body.
  2. If you are going straight to work from your morning workout, prepare your breakfast the night before. Make a smoothie, some fruit or even a sandwich. Whatever you do don’t skip breakfast!
  3. After a long or hard session take a amino acid complex like the one from Sports quest to help rebuild muscle.
  4. Take the time to stretch and self massage. A little goes a long way.
  5. When planning a meal think in terms of, is this food going to help fuel me and provide my body with the important vitamins and minerals my body needs to operate at its peak.
  6. Drink clean water! This one is so important I should write it twice. Have clean water with you always. In my opinion distilled is the best found in most supermarkets.
  7. Take a power nap. A 20 minute nap can do wonders.
